Choosing a subscription plan

There are two U.S. Plans:

- Premium ($13.99 per month or $139.99 per year): Ad-free (except live TV) all Essential features plus local live CBS station more Showtime access, offline downloads and some 4K/HDR titles.

Annual plans cost less than payments. Check the site for the deals.

Account setup

Go to paramountplus.com. Open the Paramount+ on your device. Choose a plan create an account with your name, email and password then enter payment details. Once you are subscribed go to Account settings to add up to six profiles (including Kids profiles with controls) change payment info or adjust preferences.

First-time tips

Create profiles away. Browse categories. Use search to find shows. Add titles to "My List" so you can access them later. Explore the TV and Sports sections. On Premium download content to watch offline. Stream on phones, tablets, smart TVs or browsers—up to three devices at once. In settings change video quality if your internet is slow.

How to Download Videos on Paramount+ for Offline Viewing

Paramount+ lets subscribers download some shows and movies for viewing, which is useful when you travel or go to work. This feature is only available on the Paramount+ Premium (with SHOWTIME) plan not on Essential.

Supported Devices

The download feature works on the Paramount+ mobile app for iOS and Android devices including iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets. It does not work on desktop computers, web browsers or streaming devices like Apple TV and Roku which only allow streaming.

Download and Manage Content

Open the Paramount+. Go to a movie or episode. If the title can be downloaded, a download icon (an arrow) appears next to it. Tap that icon to save it to your device. All downloaded videos are in the "Downloads" section inside the app menu.

Limits and Expiration

There are two limits to remember:

-Storage Limit: You can have up to 25 titles (movies or episodes) downloaded at once across your account.

-Expiration Policy: A downloaded video stays for 30 days. If you start watching it expires 48 hours after you begin. After it expires you can download it again. You can free space by removing downloads in the app to make room for ones.

Cross-Device Streaming & Casting Guide for Paramount+

Paramount+ works on phones, tablets, computers and smart TVs letting you watch across devices with sharing options.

Simultaneous Streaming and Device Limits

Your ability to stream on devices at once depends on the subscription plan. The Standard plan allows up to two devices simultaneously. If more people are watching the Premium plan lets you stream on up to four devices at the time and also gives access to 4K UHD and Dolby Atmos on supported titles. You can create, up to six profiles under one account.

Casting to a Smart TV

To view on a screen you can cast from your device or computer to a TV:

1. Connect to Wi-Fi: Make sure your casting device, such as a phone or tablet and your TV or streaming device like Chromecast or Roku are on the Wi-Fi network.

2. Open the App: Launch the Paramount+ app on your phone or tablet.

3. Tap the Cast Icon: Look for the Cast or AirPlay icon. It usually appears as a rectangle with a Wi-Fi signal in the corner of the app or media player.

4. Select Your Device: Choose your TV or Chromecast from the list. The video will appear on the TV screen while your phone remains the controller. If you use Google Home you can also say: "Hey Google watch [show] from Paramount+ on [TV name]" to start playing.

A Parents Guide to Paramount+ Parental Controls and Kids Mode

Creating a Kids Profile

The first step is to create a profile for your child. When adding a profile enable "Kids Mode." Then you can choose one of two content rating levels:

Kids: Limits content to TV-Y and G ratings.Kids: Allows access to TV-PG, PG and similar ratings.

Setting Up Content Restrictions

To gain control you must set a PIN. This must be done through a web browser, not the app.

1. Go to the Account settings on the Paramount+ website.

2. Find the Parental Controls section. Turn it to "On.”

3. Create a 4-digit PIN. This code will be required whenever someone attempts to watch content above your selected rating.

4. Use the slider to select the rating you wish to allow. Any content above this limit will require the PIN to play.

Managing Viewing Time

It is important to know that Paramount+ does not have built-in screen time limits or scheduled viewing times. If you wish to limit how long your child watches you must use controls on your device, such as an iPad or smart TV. Use third-party apps.

In summary, Paramount+ provides content filtering. A PIN is essential to prevent kids from switching to adult profiles.

Paramount+ Troubleshooting Guide: Fixes for Playback, Login and Quality Issues

Paramount+ offers movies, shows and live sports. Sometimes users encounter problems. Here are ways to fix issues.

Playback & Buffering Issues

If your video keeps buffering or freezing first check your internet speed. Paramount+ requires least 5 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. Restart your modem and router. If you are using Wi-Fi try moving to the router or switch to a wired Ethernet connection. If you are in Europe and using a Canal+ set-top box note that the video is often compressed to about 3.5 Mbps, which greatly reduces quality. Using the Paramount+ app on a TV or streaming stick usually provides a better bitrate.

If you are stuck in a login loop or receive authentication errors log out of all devices. Sign back in. This can fix expired sessions. For Roku users who subscribed through Roku make sure you open the "Paramount+ on the Roku Channel" app which is the standalone version. They are different. If you see an error that asks you to disable a VPN turn the VPN off. Paramount+ typically blocks VPN connections.

Subscription & Billing Errors

Errors such as "Error 60" indicate that you have exceeded the two-device stream limit. Stop playback on one or more devices to fix this. If you see charges or cannot access content even though you have paid check whether your subscription was processed through a third-party partner such as Apple or Roku because sign-in methods may vary.

Poor Video Quality

If you want to adjust video quality use the browser extension Paramount Quality+. It allows you to force a resolution and displays the resolution and bitrate. Some users report that shows such as Star Trek: Enterprise may stream at bitrates because of server-side encoding issues, which are, beyond your control. Updating the device firmware and browser drivers can improve hardware compatibility. Help with playback.
